Viktoriya Golubic | Linz | 15-10-16

Well, ok, this one has become a little bit bigger. But I just didn’t find the strength to reduce the amount of pics more than this far. If tennis is a dancer, Viktoriya Golubic is the appertaining ballerina (black swan or white swan? Guess, both. As always.). There are other players (especially one), who live a concept of skinniness I can’t get or endorse. But this young player here looks healthy, vivid and strong, although the pics look as if the photographer had made some mistake while resizing them, entering a wrong number into the “width” field. Yesterday’s match against Garbine Muguruza would have been able to go either way, if the Spaniard wouldn’t have had to retire due to an injury problem. Absolutely stunning and lovable performance of the Swiss. I guess that drove me to shoot such a bunch of pics during her training session today. Her today’s match against Madison Keys was cancelled as well due to illness of the opponent. Tomorrow she will take on Dominika Cibulkova in the final. To be honest, I don’t believe that she’s got a ghost of a chance against the brilliantly acting Lady Dynamite from Slovakia (but she might feel free to disappoint me…). So I decided to pull up stakes in Linz and head off for Luxemburg in order to watch the second qualification day there. Viktoriya will come there, too (as many other players who were in Linz). Let’s see, how she’ll have her way there in the cozy “Kockelscheuer” tent.
