Today I decided to sort the photos in player-specific galleries. (Reminds me, that I have some nice one’s from former tournaments. Will start a special “Player Portraits’ section soon).

And I  begin with stunningly beautiful Demi Schuurs, which is a doubles player from the Netherlands. She was sitting at the center court today watching  one of the matches and I took the opportunity to take these formidable pics.

I already wrote some words about the next player. Today I had the chance to portrait a training session of hers. Imho she is very attractive in a special and unique way. And hell of a person she is! Here’s to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. A little story: After the training session, when I asked her if I could do a portrait shot of her together with her parents, who were with her, she denied with the words “It’s ok.”, which confused me a little bit. So I asked again, explaining, that “It’s ok.” could mean either yes or no. What she would mean by that, I was asking. Just to be sure. Her reply was “It’s ok.” Nothing more. But somehow I got from the body language, that a “no” was meant. Which of course I respected. Although it’s a pity that I couldn’t take that shot, because they are very nice people, the Pavlyuchenkova’s.

Well, the attractiveness in person comes with the next candidate. What fascinates me about Camila Giorgi, is, that, although she likes to show, how sexy and desirable she is, she seems to have many facettes in her personality. Definitely a premium “mermaid”. What every woman knows: Women are tougher than men. Those, like Camila, who are very tough (mostly to themselves) by making me guess that they are awesomely sensitive underneath as well, what else can they be than fascinating. The reason, why I can write so freely and detached about that? Well, it’s simple. I am old enough by now to be too old for some of the player’s mothers. So, my position is to observe and to commentate, and, more important, to portray and to celebrate. Life. Tennis. Beauty. I’m no pitchman on my own behalf anymore. And how good that feels!

In the afternoon there took place some presentation, during which I had the chance to take these pics of lovely Babara Schett. First during a photoshoot, then giving an interview. Then she took part in a karate exhibition on show court #1 (together with Kveta Peschke and Anna-Lena Grönefeld, who lives in the small town of Nordhorn at the Netherland’s border, where a guy named Christian was born in the year … …no, I won’t tell that!).
